Surrender Your Dog

We know this is hard

Deciding to give up your dog is one of the hardest decisions a person can make. Life changes: a move, a new baby, a health problem, money worries, long work hours, or a dog whose needs have grown beyond what you can give. Whatever brought you here, you are trying to do right by your dog, and that matters.

There is no judgement here. We will listen, answer your questions honestly, and help you decide what is best for you and your dog.

Why surrender to Puppocino

When a dog is surrendered to a large shelter, they often wait in a kennel, surrounded by noise and unfamiliar dogs, until they are adopted. For a small dog, that can be frightening and stressful.

At Puppocino, every dog we take in goes to a foster home, not a kennel. Your dog will live in a real home with a caring foster who looks after them every day and sends us daily updates. That means:

  • Your dog stays in a calm, familiar kind of environment, with a couch, a routine and a person to rely on.
  • We get to know your dog's true personality, so we can match them with the right adopter.
  • Your dog is ready to settle into their new home quickly, because they never stopped living in one.

Small dogs only

Puppocino is a small dog rescue. We can only accept small breed and small mixed-breed dogs. If your dog is larger, we will do our best to point you to another organization that can help.
